Geothermal / Solar
White
Oak Development believes its time for homeowners to become energy
independent from the oil and gas companies. Our homes use solar
electric to power a geothermal heating & cooling system installed
in your new home. We estimate it will cost you an average of $68
per month to heat or cool one of our 1,700 Sq. Ft. homes. Larger homes may cost more. The solar systems installed
in your new home will use a reversible electrical meter. During
sunny summer days you will likley generate more electricity than you can use and
you will be selling the excess electricity back to the utility company.
In the evening and on cloudy days, you will be using more electricity
than you are generating and you will be purchasing electricity.
You will only pay for the net difference between what you generated
and what you used each month.
 Geothermal
heating & cooling systems use the 56 degree temperature of the
earth to heat or cool your home using 50% to 75% less energy than
conventional systems. While conventional furnaces and boilers burn
fuel to generate heat, geothermal heat systems use electricity to
simply move heat from the earth into your home during the winter,
and transferring it out of your home and back into the ground during
the summer. The most efficient fuel-burning heater can reach efficiencies
around 95%, but a geothermal heating system can move up to 4 units
of heat for every unit of electricity needed to power the system,
resulting in a practical equivalence of over 400% efficiency.
